HeatLog ("HeatLog," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by Nicolas Martinez as a sole proprietorship. This policy explains what information we collect through heatlogapp.com (the "Service"), why we collect it, and how it's handled. If you have questions, contact us at martinez.nicolas@gmail.com.
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (or, if you sign in with Google, basic profile information from your Google account). Authentication is handled by our database provider, Supabase.
Business and job site data. Job site names and addresses you add to track heat compliance, and the daily compliance log entries (temperature thresholds, protocol confirmations, timestamps, and supervisor acknowledgments) created through the Service.
Payment information. Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. HeatLog does not receive or store your full card number — Stripe handles and stores payment details under its own privacy policy.
Communications. If you email us for support or feedback, we keep that correspondence to respond to you and improve the Service.
Usage and analytics data. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use our public pages and app, including pages viewed and, for paying customers, a purchase conversion event. This uses cookies and similar technologies. See Google's privacy policy for how Google handles this data.
Weather data. To determine whether a heat threshold has been crossed at your job sites, our servers query the National Weather Service (NOAA) public API using your job site's location. This is a lookup against a public government data source and does not involve sending your personal information to NOAA.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your business or compliance data for advertising purposes.
We share information with the service providers ("subprocessors") that HeatLog is built on, each of which processes data on our behalf:
We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of HeatLog, our users, or others.
We retain your account and compliance log data for as long as your account is active, since that data is the point of the Service — you may need historical records for a future inspection. If you close your account, we will delete your account data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain it longer for legal or accounting purposes. We recommend downloading any records you need before closing your account.
If you're a California resident, you have the right to:
We don't sell or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA, so there's no opt-out of sale/sharing to request. To exercise any of these rights, email martinez.nicolas@gmail.com from the address associated with your account.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit and access controls provided by our infrastructure providers — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
The Service is intended for business use by adults and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify account holders by email.
